Makutano Junction in UK schools

An on-line study conducted recently with UK secondary school students shows that children not only love using Makutano Junction in class, but they also find it effective at changing their knowledge, attitude and practices relating to development, Africa, aid and poverty.  Here are some key findings:

90% of children either quite enjoyed using Makutano Junction in class or really, really enjoyed it!  This is extraordinary, given the normal response that children give to rating class work!

What are the mdgs?

We can see an increase in secondary school children in the UK who, having used Makutano Junction in class, now know what the Millenium Development Goals are.  An increase in 24%.

What is the biggest killer in Africa?

And there has been a stark reduction in the number of children who think that starvation is the second biggest killer in Africa, and a huge increase in awareness that HIV and malaria are the main killers.
