Agricultural Communications Strategy for South Sudan
South Sudan became an independent state on 9 July 2011, following a referendum that passed with 98.83% of the vote. As a newly independent country, it was imperative for South Sudan to implement effective economic strategies.
We developed a strategy for the government of South Sudan to effectively communicate with farmers to improve the agricultural sector. In this way, we played a part in paving the way for an economically prosperous South Sudan.

REGAL-AG Livestock Market Best Practices Manual
We worked with ACDI VOCA’s REGAL-AG program to develop a best practices manual for managing livestock markets in pastoral areas of Kenya. ACDI VOCA is a private, nonprofit organization that promotes broad-based economic growth and the development of civil society in emerging democracies and developing countries.
Center For Disease Control And Prevention, Kenya
We assisted the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, (CDC) Kenya in developing a communications campaign relating to HIV/TB. The company’s aim was to encourage people to understand the link between HIV and TB, get themselves tested for both, treat TB which is curable and seek treatment for HIV with anti-retrovirals.
The initial consultancy input resulted in a two year project. Video led training was central to this project- the challenge was how to improve health worker communication and counseling skills in promoting cross-testing for HIV and TB. Mediae research highlighted the negative impact on clients of health workers’ stigma of HIV. A video tool was developed, with the aim of encouraging health workers to know their own HIV status, for their own health and so as to communicate better with clients.
